My weekend in Cape Coast included: falling asleep and waking up to the sound of crashing waves, sleeping in a sandy bed in a hut right on the beach, exploring the local artisans’ market, touring the historic Cape Coast castle, relaxing in a hammock beneath a palm tree with a book and a salty breeze, watching amazing cultural dancing, chasing little crabs in the sand under a full moon, and escaping the chaos of city life, if only for a minute. I’ve missed the ocean. Click to see just a few pictures from my mini-vacation (can I call it that?) on my Flickr.
